Rugby · Winger
CURVA Coach understands exactly what Winger demands physically. Your programme is built around those demands — not a generic template.
Get my CoachThe four physical qualities that define performance at this position — and why they matter.
Wingers are the fastest players on the pitch. The programme is built around sprint mechanics, acceleration development and top-end speed work — the physical qualities that make the difference between scoring in the corner and being caught from behind.
Finishing tries requires explosive acceleration from standing starts and moving positions. Plyometric training, loaded sprint work and contrast methods are used to develop the first-step quickness that wingers need to beat defenders into space.
Wingers need the strength to carry into contact and stay on their feet without the body mass that would slow them down. The programme builds strength strategically — prioritising power-to-weight over absolute size.
Beating the last defender often comes down to a change of direction at pace. Agility training, reactive drills and deceleration-reacceleration work are built into the programme to develop the evasive ability that wingers need in open space.
A Winger doesn't need the same programme as a Winger. CURVA Coach builds around the specific demands of your position — then layers in your schedule, your body and any niggles you're carrying.
Every two weeks, your coach reviews your progress and updates your programme. It adapts across pre-season, in-season and recovery so you're always doing the right work at the right time.
And if you have questions — about movement, nutrition, an injury niggle — your coach is available 24/7 in the app.
