Rugby · Fullback
CURVA Coach understands exactly what Fullback demands physically. Your programme is built around those demands — not a generic template.
Get my CoachThe four physical qualities that define performance at this position — and why they matter.
Fullbacks cover the widest defensive area of any player. The programme develops the acceleration and aerobic speed to track kicks, support plays and recover into position without ever being caught out of place.
Exit kicking and tactical kicks require significant lower body strength and hip mobility to generate distance and accuracy. The programme builds leg power with kicking mechanics in mind across the full season.
Contesting high balls and winning aerial duels require leg strength for jumping, timing and the upper body stability to maintain possession under challenge. Jump training and contact under aerial conditions are built into the programme.
Fullbacks contribute to attack across the full width of the pitch. Sustaining the energy to be a consistent attacking outlet across 80 minutes requires a well-developed aerobic base — built progressively through the programme.
A Fullback doesn't need the same programme as a Winger. CURVA Coach builds around the specific demands of your position — then layers in your schedule, your body and any niggles you're carrying.
Every two weeks, your coach reviews your progress and updates your programme. It adapts across pre-season, in-season and recovery so you're always doing the right work at the right time.
And if you have questions — about movement, nutrition, an injury niggle — your coach is available 24/7 in the app.
