CURVA Coach understands exactly what Forward demands physically. Your programme is built around those demands — not a generic template.
Get my CoachThe four physical qualities that define performance at this position — and why they matter.
Getting in behind defences and creating attacking opportunities requires genuine sprint speed over 10–30m. The programme develops acceleration mechanics, top-end pace and the reactive speed to exploit defensive gaps when they appear.
Forwards operate in the attacking circle where space is limited and defenders close down quickly. Multi-directional agility, close-quarters movement and the ability to change direction at pace are built into the programme.
Receiving the ball under pressure and retaining possession while being closed down requires physical strength and core stability. The programme develops the robustness to stay on the ball in contact situations without losing possession.
Modern forwards press high and run channels repeatedly across 60 minutes. The programme builds the sprint endurance to maintain pressing intensity and continue making runs in behind, even in the final minutes of a tight match.
A Forward doesn't need the same programme as a Midfielder. CURVA Coach builds around the specific demands of your position — then layers in your schedule, your body and any niggles you're carrying.
Every two weeks, your coach reviews your progress and updates your programme. It adapts across pre-season, in-season and recovery so you're always doing the right work at the right time.
And if you have questions — about movement, nutrition, an injury niggle — your coach is available 24/7 in the app.
