Cricket · Batter
CURVA Coach understands exactly what Batter demands physically. Your programme is built around those demands — not a generic template.
Get my CoachThe four physical qualities that define performance at this position — and why they matter.
The power in batting comes from rotation through the hips and core. The programme develops the rotational strength and speed needed to transfer force from the lower body through to the hands — the physical foundation of consistent shot-making.
While hand-eye coordination is a technical skill, the physical preparation that underpins quick reactions — including lower body readiness and upper body stability — can be trained. The programme includes reactive drills that build physical readiness to respond to different deliveries.
Footwork is a fundamental skill for batters, and the physical quality that supports fast footwork is lower body strength and explosive power. The programme builds the leg strength and hip drive that let batters move quickly to the pitch of the ball.
Getting into position to play shots cleanly requires multi-directional agility and fast footwork. Lateral movement training, agility drills and reactive acceleration work are built into the programme to develop these movement qualities.
A Batter doesn't need the same programme as a Batter. CURVA Coach builds around the specific demands of your position — then layers in your schedule, your body and any niggles you're carrying.
Every two weeks, your coach reviews your progress and updates your programme. It adapts across pre-season, in-season and recovery so you're always doing the right work at the right time.
And if you have questions — about movement, nutrition, an injury niggle — your coach is available 24/7 in the app.
