CURVA Coach understands exactly what Centre demands physically. Your programme is built around those demands — not a generic template.
Get my CoachThe four physical qualities that define performance at this position — and why they matter.
Centres are the physical anchors of the team. The programme is built around developing maximum strength — particularly in the lower body and through the core — to establish and hold position against opposition centres.
Dominating the glass requires both jumping ability and the strength to box out and secure the ball against multiple opponents. The programme develops vertical jump through specific plyometric work alongside the physical strength to win rebounding contests.
Establishing post position, driving baseline and setting immovable screens all require exceptional lower body strength. Compound lower body training is the foundation of the programme for centres.
Defending in the post requires the strength to hold ground, contest shots and handle physical ball handlers driving into the paint. Upper body pressing, pulling and core strength work are built into the programme to develop this defensive capability.
A Centre doesn't need the same programme as a Point guard. CURVA Coach builds around the specific demands of your position — then layers in your schedule, your body and any niggles you're carrying.
Every two weeks, your coach reviews your progress and updates your programme. It adapts across pre-season, in-season and recovery so you're always doing the right work at the right time.
And if you have questions — about movement, nutrition, an injury niggle — your coach is available 24/7 in the app.
